Eva Seeds en Rototom SunSplash

Eva Seeds team was, from 18th to 27th of August at the Reggae music festival which has been taking place for two years in Benicassim, Rototom Sunsplash, although it had taken place for 18 years in Italy.
The festival was a nonstop party, and what stood out the most, were the good vibes radiating at the festival. Workshops, talks (spectacular Leo Bassi), all sorts of stalls, and countless live gigs to suit all tastes. This is what Rototom had to offer to its more than 230.000 visitors to this year’s festival, some 80.000 more than last year’s. It seems that Reggae is becoming more and more popular, specially amongst young people, as it was proven by this year’s massive young turnout.
Given the common roots shared by Reggae and cannabis, we decided we ought to be there, and so we were, talking to a great amount of people who came by the marquee where we were located, and who were interested in ourstrains and seeds. It was a real pleasure to be able to talk to so many people, so diverse, and from so many countries: Italians, French, Czechs, Americans, Spanish, of course…anyway, miscellaneous people united by the same likings.
Honestly, it was a pleasure, though I can also assure you that working for 10 days, inside a marquee, in the full sun, can be truly exhausting. The new Eva Seeds signings were fantastic, and endured the conditions like real champs, despite the high temperatures we suffered. Hurray for them!
We had the pleasure to see Jimmy Cliff, Ojos de Brujo, Capleton, Ziggy Marley’s live concerts…well, we couldn’t actually see them all, but some we did, and it was a great party.
